One fantasy player needs to start the competition within FSZ and setup the various rules for player point scoring, finals series, the draft time and player trades.
To get started, simply visit ‘New Game’, Select AFL as the sport, H2H as the game model, and the upcoming season to play.
Once the competition is created, an invite code will be shown on screen to allow the manager to invite other players to join. This should be done 1 to 2 weeks prior to the real AFL season opener, to allow time for all players to research their desired teams prior to the draft event.
The maximum amount of 9 fantasy players can take part and join any comp. The system can handle an odd number of entries, however, 1 player would have a bye each week.
The fantasy game will appear in your ‘My Teams’ area under ‘Upcoming’.
Each login (user account) for FSZ can place only 1 entry per AFL H2H fantasy competition at a time. You can play in multiple competitions at the same time though. Note, this is different to our Grouped Player game model.
Your competition will be private between players, with no public vision of teams or results.
The Player draft event will take place at your nominated date and time before the opening round of the AFL season to setup the initial teams, and play can then begin. Due to the length of an AFL season, it is possible to start a fantasy comp at any point throughtout the real season.
